Lovely Hand Painted Shutters

Custom Hot Pink and Red Shutters

What a great way to reuse and recycle!!! I found a lot of shutters in the trash and snatched them right up. This was two years ago - I am finally inspired to reuse them by painting them with sweet rosebuds and roses. This set is for sale on Ebay, but I have more and can't wait to redo them, too. They can be used in an office for note storage or a bill holder - even business cards could be clipped on the slats. Please, please post any more ideas for use of these wonderful discards!!!

New Pink Nutcrackers on the Horizon

Well I have been busy spray painting and adding lovely roses for my spring nutcrackers! I have many more ideas for new colors and designs so keep posted. Here is a look at what I have been working on!

I also have had the pleasure of painting some lovely roses for a client's bathroom and daughter's bedroom - please take a look and let me know what you think!!!

Here is a great idea if you need a guide before painting: I use chalk to outline my design on the wall before I paint - it really helps to get an idea of where to place the flowers and wipes right off when done!

Shabby White Pumpkins

Here is a great way to shabbify your halloween pumpkins!

I found these at White's Farm - farmer's and flea market, and decided to spray paint them white and add pink accents. I did not prime them first, but I would suggest doing just that. They took a few coats of spray paint to cover them. Then add accents of pink and green for the stems. Still spooky, but in a cottagy pumpkin way!
